Last week Susan Weeks gave a talk to the Tuftonboro Historical Society. She spoke about the seven generations of Hunters (her maiden name) in Tuftonboro and shared family stories and heirlooms. Several of Sue’s sisters were there and chimed in with their memories as well. She also gave advice on how to properly take care of old paintings, photographs, documents, and books.
My pies are in the oven getting ready for the Tuftonboro Historical Society “Dessert Auction” tonight. Event starts at 7 PM at the THS Museum, 449 Gov Wentworth Highway in Melvin Village (across from GeezLouise). Free admission; everyone welcome.
OOOps! My calendar is a week off – the dessert auction is next week on the 27th.
Allen Blazick took home bragging rights from cribbage play last night. He was the only undefeated player (except me, of course, but I only played one game …)! We had 9 players and 1 learner.
Special thoughts go out to Ariel Fleming who was unable to join us. If anyone sees her, let her know we were thinking of her.
We will play again next week – 7 PM on Wed. night at the Tuftonboro Historical Society barn at 449 Gov. Wentworth Highway in Melvin Village.
