Selectmen’s Election Day Meeting

Gordon Hunt, library trustees’ chairman, informed the selectmen this morning that the trustees had met yesterday and voted unanimously that the library-addition warrant article should be tabled at Town Meeting.

  1. Once again, no responsibility taken by the selectmen. No admission whatsoever that they made a mistake. And additionally, they are rude during public comment and questions. They just sit and stare at people they don’t like. Grow up and act like an adult. You don’t have to like them but be professional.

  2. Chris: The Selectman let everyone speak and they listened quietly and respectfully. I fail to see how their actions could be considered rude and unprofessional. Have you listened to how they have been treated? I’m truly perplexed. Aren’t you happy with their mistakes on the library article? It ensures that the library expansion will be delayed for at least another year.

  3. It also amazes me they just sit there and have no comment on their mistake. Perhaps at town meeting tomorrow they will admit they screwed up. I am happy for their mistake on the library article. I hope the voters take this into account when voting today.
