I've lived in Tuftonboro since 2014. I grew up in Lisbon Falls, Maine (the Moxie capital of the world). I run tuftonboro.net.

  1. Nice hole on Phineas Graves Rd. Never used to wash out until they “improved” the road. Lots of dirt and trash washing into the brook.

    1. Thanks, Barry, I’ll go take a look.

There was also a big hole on Route 171 last week near Canaan Road. That’s a state road, of course. A bicyclist saw it and there happened to be a town police officer driving by right then, I think it was Tom Lafavre, and the bicyclist waved him over. I drove by shortly after and Chief Shagoury and Officer Lafavre were directing traffic while a work crew (from the state, I assume) filled in the hole.
